Phyllis Strand writing at her desk

Hi, I'm Phyllis Strand. For most of my life, I believed success meant pushing harder.

As a marketing executive, marathon runner, wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, I became very good at showing up for everyone and everything. I met deadlines, kept commitments, and rarely slowed down long enough to ask myself a simple question: How is this pace actually working for me? Over time, my body, health, and priorities began sending signals that something needed to change. Not all at once. Just enough to get my attention. Learning to pay attention to those signals changed the way I think about performance, well-being, and success.

Today, I help women build sustainable performance—the ability to pursue meaningful goals without sacrificing their health, relationships, or themselves in the process. My work is informed by more than 25 years in business leadership, my experiences as an endurance athlete, my training as a health and wellness coach, and the lessons I share in my book, Running Into Me: How I Stopped Racing and Found Myself. Whether I'm speaking, coaching, writing, or leading workshops, my goal is the same: To help people recognize the signals in their own lives before they become alarms. Because success shouldn't require running yourself into the ground. It should create a life you actually want to live.
